That's the one key I don't seem to be able to generate. I finally had time over the holiday break to create a remap that would work on both PC (Autohotkey) and Mac (KeyRemap4Macbook). What's really weird is that this is true only for these 4 keys - the other function keys need to have "fn" pressed in order to send the key without "fn", they perform a local functionality. Unfortunately, you cannot run AutoHotkey on macOS or Linux at this time. Through trial-and-error, I've found that to send the normal function key (to a Windows app running under Fusion), I have to press Command-(function key). ![]() Behavior is the same with or without the "fn" key. Cmd is remapped to Ctrl but I can't find the Autohotkey command to launch the "move focus to next window" action.Note: This may be in the category of "generic Mac questions", not specifically related to Fusion, but my need for it came up in the context of using Windows apps under Fusion, so here it is.ġ) I've noticed that the F9, F10, F11, and F12 keys, when pressed either by themselves or in combination with the "fn" key do something strange locally (each does something different, but none of it is expected). Keyboard Maestro is an incredibly flexible, powerful, and easy to use macro system for Mac OS and it even has a native Stream Deck plug-in Best of all it is incredibly affordable. I still can't find a way to move focus to next window (from a program to another): on Windows, this is done by LAtl+ Tab, on a Mac by Cmd+ Tab. using a program called Keyboard Maestro I have replicated my key pad loop function that I was previously using AHK for. I found lots of example and scripts and I was able to remap Cmd to Ctrl and all the functions keys to volume controls, media controls, print screen, etc. Automate almost anything by sending keystrokes & mouse clicks (macros).
